At its annual award ceremony, the Association of Composers of Bosnia and Herzegovina AMUS awarded the "Vlado Milošević" award for musicology and music writing for the year 2022 to the professor of the Academy of Music of the University of Sarajevo, Dr Amila Ramović.
Amila Ramović is an associate professor at the Department of Music Theory and Pedagogy of the UNSA Academy of Music. In 2015, she received her doctorate in the field of musicology with the topic Sound as a Material in Contemporary Art (supervised by academician Nikša Gligo). In 2020, she became the vice dean for international cooperation, and from 2021, the secretary of doctoral studies at MAS UNSA. She was the executive director and program selector of the Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival from 2012 until 2016. In 2012, she initiated and led the multi-year international artistic and educational project Sarajevo Sonic Studio, where the leading composers of today and dozens of young regional composers participated. She has been the president of the FBiH Musicological Society since 2018. In 2019, she was awarded Honorary Fellowship by Plymouth College of Art.
